Our Story

1. Just an Idea

   Transelgon Hospital was conceptualized in 2006 with a vision to become a regional center of excellence, providing affordable and accessible quality healthcare to all. Located in the heart of Mt. Elgon, this vision aimed to address the healthcare needs of the local communities and beyond.

2. Transformative Healthcare

   In December 2020, the first branch of Transelgon Hospital opened its doors in Kapsokwony. This milestone marked the beginning of a new era in healthcare for the region, bringing advanced medical services to a previously underserved area. The community warmly embraced the new facility, which quickly became a beacon of hope and health.

3. A Journey of Hope

   By August 2022, Transelgon Hospital expanded to Cheptais, furthering its mission to make quality healthcare accessible to more people. This second branch reinforced the hospital's commitment to serving the region, offering comprehensive medical services and state-of-the-art facilities to its growing patient base.

4. Commitment to Community

   July 2023 saw the opening of the Aroo branch, a testament to the hospital's rapid growth and the increasing demand for its services. The Aroo branch continued the tradition of excellence, equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

5. Year of Growth

   In November 2023, the Bungoma branch opened, significantly enhancing the hospital's reach. This addition ensured that even more communities could benefit from the high standards of care that Transelgon Hospital is known for, solidifying its reputation as a leading healthcare provider in the region.

6. Towards New Heights

   In May 2024, Transelgon Hospital proudly inaugurated the Eldoret Specialists Hospital at Daima Towers. This state-of-the-art facility specializes in advanced medical treatments and surgeries, attracting patients from far and wide. The Eldoret Specialists Hospital represents the pinnacle of Transelgon's journey, a culmination of years of dedication and service to the community.
